Just when you think you’ve lost it…

Just when you think you’ve lost it…God goes ahead and reminds you that He’s in control. So thankful for this!

This is the last week of one of my accountability groups and we’re really focusing on WHY our goals are important to us. So naturally, this morning I took a hard look at WHY I’m trying to qualify for Boston. I’m afraid of it! I never thought I had what it took to do it. Here I am going for it! I want to push my limits. I want to know I gave it my all in those mentally tough moments and kept truckin’ along!

I was reminded (while spending a little time with God), that He’s right there with me. I read through the Jesus Calling devotion every morning–or at least try to–and one of the verses was from Psalm 139. I decided to read the entire chapter and I’m so glad I did!

Psalm 139

If he knows when “I sit down or stand up,” (vs 2) He knows these little fears and doubts that I have. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” (vs 23, emphasis mine). “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.” (vs 5, emphasis mine). “If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” (vs 9-10, emphasis mine). I can’t do it without Him though!

I’m not sure what you’re going through this fine day, but I can promise you if you seek God’s face, He’s there and He’s in control. You’re not alone. You’re seen and known on a level that you can’t even comprehend!!!
